As I embark on my quest to have a “case de té” (tea house), I’m going to start sharing  my tea journey.

Ginger Green Tea

Step 1: Green Tea

  • 1 medium pan of water (4 cups of water)
  • 5-7 green tea bags ( depends on quality of tea and desired strengthen of green tea)
  • 1 medium pan of water (4 cups of water)
  • 5-7 green tea bags ( depends on quality of tea and desired strengthen of green tea)
Bring water to a boil and then reduce heat to medium flame for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let brew on stove for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2: Sweet Ginger Mixture
  • 1 small pan of water (2 cups of water)
  • 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 1/2 small stick of cinnamon
  • 1.5 teaspoons of freshly ground ginger
Bring water to a boil and then reduce heat to medium flame for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let brew on stove for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3: Mix
Mix the two liquids into a large glass jar/pitcher. Add 2-3 teaspoons of freshly ground ginger. Leave tea bags in mixture. Put pitcher/jar in window with medium sunlight for 3-6 hours. Then remove tea bags and serve tea. IMG_1302
