So many of my fellow English teachers liked my chai that had a strong jengibre (ginger) kick. So here is the recipe. Enjoy!
10 green cardamom pods
15 cloves (with tops crushed)
20 papaya seeds
2 broken cinnamon sticks (medium size)
10 black tea bags (less tea bags if you have high quality tea)
5 teaspoons of brown sugar
3 teaspoons of white sugar
2 heaping teaspoons of freshly, minced ginger
4 cups of water
3 cups of milk
Place everything into a pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for another 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat, but allow the pot to remain on the hot stove top for 10 minutes. Enjoy Chai Pow! in your favorite mug.
